Key Milestones 1935 – Present

• 1930s - 1940s

  Our Humble Beginnings Our school had its humble beginnings with 20 students having lessons on an opera stage.	Keming Primary School previously known as Keok Ming Public School Keok Ming Public School was funded by public-spirited and generous pioneers who firmly believed in educating the villagers. It was first located in Holland Village.

• 1950s - 1970s

  Our Class Photo A class shot posing in our old school uniform at the outdoor basketball court	Official Opening The then Prime Minister, the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew, helped to relocate the school to North Buona Vista and officially opened it on 10 December 1966.
  Singing of National Anthem Singing of national anthem and recital of pledge after relocation	Fundraising Campaign A large scale public fundraising campaign was organised in 1977 with both staff and community coming together to raise funds for the disadvantaged students and their families.

• 1980s

  Attainment of full government status Our school attained full government status and was renamed as Keok Ming Primary School in 1982.	Our move to Bukit Batok Our school moved to Bukit Batok in 1987 with a change in name to Keming Primary School.

  New School Badge The three red circles represent the sun; The two blue stripes represent a book and the sea from which rose the sun; symbolic of students’ courage to forge ahead towards a bright future. Red represents passion and courage; Blue represents peace, humility and compassion; Concentric circles symbolise a child embraced by the arms of parents, teachers and the community.

  PRIME Upgrading Completion of PRIME with new teaching blocks and facilities was completed in 2013.	PERI Upgrading Completion of the PERI upgrading with our new Indoor Sports Hall (ISH) was completed in 2014.

  Keming Primary turns 85! The theme of the launch is ‘Celebrating with LOVE’. LOVE stands for Living Our Values Explicitly, in the form of service to the community.   Launch of 85th Anniversary Our Kemingnites and staff were united as one as we rejoiced with our special 55 Clap Keming Cheer, as the launch took place.	85th Anniversary Keychain This is our 85th anniversary keychain designed to commemorate the event.
  Outreach to Community School leaders and Guest of Honour with seniors from Bukit Batok Active Aging Club

• Our Acts of Love (2020 - 2021)

  85th Anniversary Acts of Love The student leaders engaged the residents in Bukit Batok Care Home in the craft making for Lunar New Year.	85th Anniversary Acts of Love The Primary Three students wrote Lunar New Year greetings with messages of hopes, prosperity, good luck and good health to some residents in Bukit Batok.
  85th Anniversary Acts of Love Our Heart of Gratitude card messages written by Kemingnites were put together by the Art Club members and presented to the frontliners of Bukit Batok.	85th Anniversary Acts of Love The warm, happy smiles on the faces of the senior citizens when they viewed the e-performances and received the contributions from the Keming family.
