Our Principal
Mrs Yap Dai Jee
Mrs Yap Dai Jee started teaching in her alma mater at the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) (Secondary) in 1985 where she taught Home Economics and History. In 1991, she was awarded the Monbusho Scholarship to pursue a teachers’ training course in Japan. Upon her return in 1993, she joined the then-Curriculum Development Institute of Singapore, MOE as Specialist Writer and subsequently, in 1997 as Curriculum Specialist. In 1998, she was appointed Head of Department, Craft & Technology in Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School, and then as Vice-Principal in 2006 in the same school. In 2009, she was posted to CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’ School (Primary Section) as Vice-Principal. In 2011, Mrs Yap attended the Leaders in Education Programme at the National Institute of Education, an executive programme to prepare her for school leadership. Upon completing the course, she was posted to Fuchun Primary School as Vice-Principal in September 2011 and was subsequently appointed Principal in January 2012. She was Principal of Fuchun Primary until December 2019. For her work in the school, Mrs Yap received the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2018. On 15 December 2019, Mrs Yap was appointed as Principal of Keming Primary School. She is honoured to be part of the Keming family and working together with the staff, parents and various partners to nurture students to become Enlightened Students, Enriched Citizens. |
