This year’s Total Defence Day witnessed how the six pillars of Total Defence came in action. As the nation copes with the COVID 19, we echo in harmony this year’s theme "Our unity is our strength. Together we keep Singapore strong". Special lessons on the Total Defence Day was conducted by form teachers in their own classrooms. The lessons provided the students with a deeper meaning of Total Defence. The students refreshed on their understanding of the six pillars. Many were able to resonate and express their thoughts during the scenario-based discussion on issues related to Coronavirus.

The students had a good start on the Wipe Down exercise. This cleaning routine takes centrestage as students had a hand in cleaning and wiping their own eating area during recess. A colouring exercise and crafting of a catchy slogan reinforced their roles in coping with the COVID19 situation. The students also had a taste of war time staple food when they tried eating sweet potatoes.In all, this year’s Total Defence Day is memorable!
